Snowy Colorado Micro Wedding in Breckenridge
Eden and Josh had the most beautiful winter wedding with their closest loved ones in Breckenridge, Colorado. The day we planned couldn’t have come together more perfectly if we tried. Breckenridge got a fresh snowfall a couple of days before so it felt like a winter wonderland without the freezing cold temperatures! The two of them had the perfect number of guests to share the experience with those they loved while still keeping their Breckenridge wedding intentional and intimate.
Story of Their Winter Wedding in Breckenridge
Their day began with a big family breakfast before Eden and Josh retreated to separate areas of the house to begin getting ready for their wedding day. When I arrived, I was amazed by not only the beauty of the home but also the calm atmosphere as I mingled with each of their family members between the getting ready spots.
There were so many interesting surfaces throughout the home to use as detail photos of the rings as well as beautiful locations for Eden and Josh to put the finishing touches on their vows. After Eden’s first look with her father, she and Josh shared a first look on the back porch. I absolutely loved witnessing how amazed Josh was by how Eden looked and how emotional the two of them were while exchanging presents with one another afterward.
“My favorite part of the day was definitely the first look just because of the anticipation. I will never forget standing out on the deck trying not to cry before Eden got out there, and then immediately crying as soon as I saw her.” – Josh
Their ceremony was no different, their vows were heartfelt and so beautifully told the story of two people who love and care for each other deeply and are excited for what the future holds as husband and wife. The main thing I love so much about more intimate weddings and elopements is the vulnerability that comes with it. Everyone is able to be so present and feel comfortable in an intimate environment shedding a tear or letting out a belly laugh in the moment because of how comfortable they are with one another.
After their ceremony and family photos, the videographer and I explored the area with Eden and Josh and got some absolutely amazing photos (and footage) of the two of them with the beautiful winter landscape we were surrounded by. The sun even peaked out for us at the end and sent us off with a bang!
“My favorite memory from the day was dancing in Boreas pass along that part of the trail that opened up so that you could see all of the mountains! That afternoon light was just so beautiful and special and it will just be something that I will never forget.” – Eden
They finished their winter Breckenridge elopement day with a 4-course dinner prepared by a private chef back at their Airbnb followed by relaxing by the fire and reading letters from friends and family.
