National Forest Camping Engagement Photos near Colorado Springs
Nothing makes me happier than photographing couples in their element, doing things they love doing together. My goal as a Colorado Springs photographer is to make you feel as comfortable as possible in front of the camera! Planning activities to incorporate in your engagement session can help you feel a little camera shy to feel more relaxed. It also allows me to capture true to your relationship moments that help photos feel more organic. Your wardrobe is also a perfect way to help you feel at ease during your session, while flowy dresses and matching outfits can make for beautiful photos – I love it when couples choose to dress more casually! It can be less intimidating if you or your partner are not comfortable in front of the camera. Marrisa and Harrisen’s session is the perfect example of this! They chose to have their engagement session during one of their summer adventures in the mountains of Colorado.
We first headed to an overlook at a nearby reservoir. The hills around the reservoir are dotted with rocky outlooks and giant boulders. The pine tree-coated slopes lead down to the brilliant blue-green water. The moody sky from a recent rain shower added to an already stunning backdrop! We then headed to their campsite in Pike- San Isabel National Forest. After returning to their campground outside of Colorado Springs, Harrisen and Marissa built a fire and got cozy on a blanket in front of the fire with their adorable dog Fred. Talk about a dreamy lifestyle engagement session! And I’m always a sucker for a photogenic pup with a cute name!
I can’t wait to capture Marissa and Harrisen’s elopement later this summer near Georgetown, Colorado. Are you thinking about planning your adventure engagement session near Colorado Springs?
