Two Medicine Wedding | Glacier National Park Photographer
From the moment Emily and Sam reached out to me looking for a Glacier National Park photographer for their intimate wedding, it felt like the most perfect fit. These two Chicago natives wanted the experience of coming back to Big Sky Country to get married with their closest family and friends. They noted that photography was their number one priority for their day – count me in!
Planning Their Glacier National Park Wedding
As we were planning their wedding day in Two Medicine, Emily and Sam mentioned just how much stress melted away as soon as they decided to ditch the traditional wedding and get eloped in Montana with their loved ones.
You may be thinking “hold up, eloping can be with family too?!” Absolutely they can! I wrote a whole post about including family in your elopement day to give you some inspiration and ideas to make this possible!
Two Medicine felt like the obvious choice for their ceremony with its breathtaking lake, towering mountain views, and close proximity to the cabins they rented in East Glacier Park Village.
Their Two Medicine Wedding Day
When I arrived at their cabin in East Glacier Park Village, I received one of the warmest welcomes that I ever have had from a couple’s family. There was so much positive energy and special moments that took place during their getting-ready photos. Sam and his parents helped each other adjust their boutonnieres, fix their ties, and get all wedding-ready. Emily’s mother helped her button up her breathtaking strapped lace dress on the side porch which led to an emotional moment when her father walked around the corner for the first time and saw her in her dress. There was so much love between Emily, her parents, and her sisters during this moment and it filled me with so much joy!
Emily and Sam were all smiles during their first look and then Emily “walked down the aisle” with her parents and met Sam and their loved ones along the shore of the lake in Two Medicine. Something unique these two did at the beginning of their ceremony was give everyone one minute to take as many cell phone photos as they wanted – that way no one felt like they were missing out by staying unplugged! I loved it!
Following their ceremony and family photos, Sam’s best friend and Emily’s sisters did a toast and enjoyed some cake before the newlyweds and I ventured to Many Glacier for a sunset adventure in my absolute favorite area on the east side of the park.
We all had the best time soaking in every last bit of light before they returned to wind down the evening celebrating being newly married with their family!
