Virginia Wedding at The Osprey’s at Belmont Bay

Vanessa and Mario’s late September wedding at The Osprey’s at Belmont Bay was a love-filled celebration from start to finish. This beautiful venue in Woodbridge, Virginia is right along the Occoquan River and was beyond picturesque for their day.

Story of Their Wedding at The Osprey’s at Belmont Bay

The day began with Vanessa getting hair and makeup done at their hotel in Woodbridge followed by everyone heading to the venue for finishing touches and getting dresses on! Mario and his groomsmen got ready in a different suite at the venue, played the Hook and Ring game, and helped each other get wedding-ready.

Vanessa and Mario shared the sweetest first look at the willow tree behind the venue. I couldn’t get over how big Mario’s smile was when he saw her in her beautiful lace dress for the first time! After some photos of just the two of them, we joined back up with their wedding party for group photos and individual couples of them with their groomsmen and bridesmaids. The pink and purple color scheme that Vanessa chose for her girls was gorgeous and the guys looked so great with their coordinating bowties.

Their wedding ceremony was held at the pergola on the front lawn of The Osprey’s at Belmont Bay venue with the sun shining and the river gleaming behind them. For their ceremony, they exchanged heartfelt vows with Harry Potter references galore and so much laughter and even a few tears.

Following the ceremony, everyone mingled for a cocktail hour followed by dinner and toasts in the venue’s beautiful ballroom. We slipped out for a few golden hour photos at sunset under that beautiful willow tree from their first dance earlier. Next, it was time for the dancing part of the celebration to begin! Vanessa and Mario’s reception was by far the most lively I’ve ever photographed – DJ AP Andres kept everyone dancing for hours and I had a blast getting among it to photograph everyone.
