Before I even got in the car following Juliette and Kade’s engagement photos, she insisted that I be the photographer for their upcoming wedding at Star Meadows Ranch in Montana and I was thrilled!
Summer Wedding at Star Meadows Ranch
When the day arrived for Juliette and Kade’s wedding at Star Meadows Ranch, they had the most beautiful June weather that we could have ever hoped for!
Their planner, Katie with Big Day Celebrations, did an amazing job of ensuring everything got set up and ready before their day began and guests arrived! As I was making my way around the venue between getting ready photos, I couldn’t get over how beautiful the venue was and how good the decor looked. And the lush greens of early summer? Perfection!
Juliette and Kade’s first look took place in the forested area of the property. Afterward, we gathered everyone in the wedding party to take photos before the ceremony (so all were free to begin to celebrate after)! I loved the color palette they went with – the bouquets from Rose Mountain Floral were beautiful and the red dresses and ties contrasted the landscape’s green so well! The pictures we got with their son were also so cute.
Excitement grew as family and friends made their way to the ceremony site. The weather was still right out of a dream with a clear view of the mountains, a cloud-speckled sky, and plenty of sunshine! During the ceremony, they had both of their mothers read a special excerpt and Juliette’s father was the officiate who officially married them. There was even a moment during the ceremony where their sun slipped away and crawled towards Kade while they were standing up there – such a sweet moment I was so happy to have been able to capture!
Everyone made their way to the reception area at Star Meadows Ranch for a cocktail hour and first dances. Of course, after dinner, it was time to cut the cake and toasts! White Bear Baking Co. did such an amazing job with the design and they both enjoyed making a mess while feeding it to each other. As the dancing and music began, I loved that the venue had an outdoor area complete with games and a fire pit so every guest could enjoy a more quiet environment if they needed it!
We took a break at sunset to get beautiful photos of the sun lighting up the mountains in stunning golden tones. Juliette and Kade even managed to get a few with their sweet pups which is always a win in my book!
After a lot more dancing, they ended the evening with a breathtaking fireworks show for everyone with the blue light of sunset still illuminating the silhouette of the mountains. Is there a better way to conclude your wedding day?!
