Destination Wedding at Green Valley Ranch in Montana

Brittany and James had a breathtaking destination wedding at Green Valley Ranch with 15 of their favorite people traveling in from around the country. These two hired Kate Lynn Events to help them plan everything for their day to make it a stress-free and seamless occasion and I’ve got to say, Kate did phenomenal! The decoration for their day, from the flowers lining the aisle for their ceremony to the table settings at their dinner with guests, was intentional down to the last little detail.

Another bonus is that Green Valley Ranch is less than 20 minutes from the West Glacier entrance to Glacier National Park – making it easy to combine adventuring in a beautiful location with your wedding trip.

Brittany and James’ Wedding at Green Valley Ranch

The morning of their wedding, I met Brittany and James at their VRBO to capture the intimate getting-ready moments and then they shared a first look on the lawn in front of the house. It was beautiful and emotion-filled and such a relaxed start to their wedding day.

Exchanging vows privately was important to the two of them, so the three of us ventured to a quiet spot located along the river near Glacier National Park. It was such a serene setting for them to exchange vows and the way the fall colors reflected in the river beside them.

After we hopped by Lake McDonald, they spent their time back at the VRBO while I headed to Green Valley Ranch to prepare for guests arriving.

Moody, cloudy weather set the scene for their wedding. My favorite part about this kind of weather in the fall is that it further emphasizes the beautiful blue color of the mountains and the colorful leaves on surrounding trees.

Raul of Best Day Officiants created a beautiful ceremony for the two of them to formally say “I do” in front of their closest friends and family. Following the ceremony and cocktail hours, Hellroaring Saloon and Eatery catered the most delicious dinners for guests to enjoy at the pavilion overlooking the field.

The following day, Brittany, James, and I ventured back into Glacier National Park to get some more beautiful photos of the two of them in the fall landscape. Mother nature brought all of the fall moodiness I love so much and they watched the clouds dance around the mountains and had a great time exploring again to get the photos of their dreams.

If you’re planning a destination wedding or micro wedding, I highly recommend checking out places to get married near Glacier National Park, like Green Valley Ranch. It allows you to get the best of both worlds by having a celebration with family and having the backdrop that dreams are made of.
